Scripture is the authority.
This tool is only a guide.

Scripture Compass is a calm, Bible-first companion for seekers, hurting people, new believers, and quiet returners. It opens the Berean Standard Bible on whatever you're actually carrying — anxiety, grief, doubt, joy, a hard question — and walks with you through what God's Word says about it.

It is not an AI preacher and not a replacement for your local church. It is a research and conversation tool grounded in Scripture and historic Christian teaching — built to help you read the Bible for yourself, more carefully and more honestly.

For a fuller statement of what we believe and how we read Scripture, see Beliefs.

What you can do here

How we keep it faithful

  • Every verse you see is the Berean Standard Bible, hydrated by our server — the AI is never allowed to write Scripture itself.
  • Historical-grammatical interpretation: literal meaning first, then whole-Bible context, then careful application.
  • Church fathers and Reformation voices cited where they sharpen understanding; archaeological and historical claims carry an honest confidence label.
  • No prosperity gospel, no partisan framing, no denominational fights — and honest silence where godly Christians genuinely disagree.
  • A pastoral care charter shapes every response: acknowledge → theme → Scripture → reflection → hope → church.

Who built this

Scripture Compass was built by one person — an IT professional, a Christian husband, father, and friend — because seekers and hurting people deserve a calm, Bible-first place to start, free from algorithms, ads, and agendas. No church or denomination owns this tool. It is accountable, first and last, to Scripture.

Safety & honesty

If you are wrestling with suicidal thoughts, self-harm, abuse, or a mental-health crisis, please reach out to someone trained to help. Prayer and Scripture matter deeply, but they are not a substitute for medical, psychological, or emergency care.

Why daily limits — and how to help

Every study and chat reply costs real money in AI compute. To keep this tool free, honest, and online for the next seeker, each visitor gets a generous daily allowance — and the whole app has a daily ceiling. When you hit a cap, the counter resets at midnight UTC.

If this work has helped you, you can keep it online for someone else on the Donate page — every gift funds real studies and conversations for real people.

Every design decision asks one question: does this help someone understand God's Word more accurately and faithfully? If the answer is no, it doesn't get built.
