Your first 30 days following Jesus

A starter rhythm: read John, pray daily, find a church, talk to a Christian. Simple. Sustainable. Real.

If you've just decided to follow Jesus — welcome. The Bible calls this being 'born again.' The next thirty days are about laying down a few simple habits. Not heroic ones. Just real ones.

Read

Open the Gospel of John. Read one chapter a day. Underline what stands out. Don't try to understand everything; just meet Jesus on the page. Twenty-one chapters — about three weeks.

Pray

Talk to God every day. Morning, evening, on a walk, while you're driving — anywhere. Five minutes is plenty to begin. Use the ACTS pattern if you need a shape.

Gather

Find a local church that teaches the Bible. This is non-negotiable. Christianity is not solo. Visit a few. Look for honest preaching, ordinary people, and love that's not performed. If you're nervous, you're not alone — every Christian was new once.

Tell someone

Tell one Christian you trust what you've decided. Ask them to pray for you. If you don't know any Christians, message a church and ask if someone can grab coffee. They will say yes.

Thirty days from now, you will not be the same person. Walk them with him.

Bring this to a conversation.

Ask follow-up questions in a calm, pastoral chat — at your pace.
