  1. Called by Jesus from his fishing boat on the Sea of Galilee.
  2. Confessed Jesus as 'the Christ, the Son of the living God.'
  3. Denied Jesus three times the night of the trial; restored by the risen Christ on the shore.
  4. Preached the Pentecost sermon; led the early Jerusalem church.
  5. Wrote 1 and 2 Peter; traditionally martyred in Rome by crucifixion.
