How their life points to Christ
Moses delivered Israel from slavery to Pharaoh; Jesus delivers his people from slavery to sin. Moses gave the Law; Jesus fulfilled it. Hebrews calls Christ a greater Moses — and the Mount of Transfiguration shows them standing together.
Common misunderstandings
- Moses did not split the Red Sea by his own power — God did, through his outstretched staff.
- He was not flawless — anger at Meribah cost him entry to the land.
